David Z Cohen

David Z Cohen is an Award-winning performer and actor, having appeared on shows for AppleTV+, GlobalTV, and ABC-Disney+, as well as multiple films for A24 (Most recently, Eternity, directed by David Freyne - Critics Choice Nominee for Best Comedy). He has also had the pleasure of working on set with Emmy, BAFTA, and Academy Award winning Directors and Cinematographers, including Oscar Winning Director Tom Hooper. 

 

A consistent member of Kot Creative’s Company Class, David is excited to bring his knowledge and perspective to this session, sharing insights from his experience working across Film and Television.

 

David’s career began in theatre, having performed on stages across Western Canada. He has collaborated with Directors, Choreographers, Musicians, and Coaches from Canada, New York, and the UK. He was also an improviser and adjudicator with the Canadian Improv Games, working with young actors. As a reader and self-tape coach, David has helped actors book work on film, TV, commercial, and theatre sets in Vancouver and beyond!
