15-22 yrs
An advanced study for Actors looking to take the next step in their careers, our Young Adult Company is a vibrant ensemble allowing for artistic growth & creative expansion each week.
Creative Risk & Impulse equips actors with the tools to approach their work with greater freedom, adaptability, and confidence to strengthen auditions, self-tapes, and on-set work.
Working with Carmela Sison & Special Guests throughout the term, this class focuses on strengthening impulses, taking creative risks, and using Improv to explore & discover new possibilities in the actor's work.
Through Scene Study, Breathwork, Movement, and Embodied Somatic Technique, actors will expand their creative range while learning how to trust their instincts and play.
Through a focused film studies component, actors will break down dynamic screen performances to better understand spontaneity, emotional truth, and the creative risks that make performances compelling and memorable.
Career mentorship in regards to auditions, the casting process and agents is also included.
SATURDAYS
Dates: September 26th - November 14th ~ 7 classes
Time: 4:00pm - 6:30pm (may extend until 7pm to accommodate additional rehearsal or instruction)
*No class October 10th (Thanksgiving long weekend)
Tuition:
$568 + gst = $596.40
